♥ About THE BLOG ♥
Hello, and welcome to CupcakeGirl: The Almost, Sort-Of, Kind-Of, Getting There Foodie and Pastry Chef blog page! Here, you can get a glimpse into the life of the 16 year old CupcakeGirl, who uses this blog to share amazing recipes, discuss facts about great food and great people, share her kitchen-battle wins and losses (read: disasters), and talk about her own personal life as a teenager in high school. Looking for a recipe for amazing red velvet cupcakes? Curious about the difference between a torte and a flourless chocolate cake? Need a few moments of quality entertainment, including stories about exploding glass dishes and pieces of toast catching on fire? My friend: you've come to the right place.
On this blog, there's quite a few things you'll notice: like, for instance, how everything is 100% from scratch. Or how no recipe will ever, ever, include a single cake mix. Or how when food rants start, it's likely to be in the view point of a health nut. Or how there's lots of little hearts surrounded by oodles and oodles of pink because, well, that's just how things work around here.
Problems? Take it up with the baker.

♥ About THE BAKER ♥

If you know Reanna, it's no surprise you'd come to find she has a baking blog. I mean, what else would a 16 year old girl do in her spare time? Blog about cupcakes, of course.
Reanna (otherwise known as CupcakeGirl) is an aspiring Pastry Chef/Foodie, located in [insert place you'll probably never be told for safety purposes -here-].  Before she became CupcakeGirl, Reanna was a mini health-nut, who spent her long middle school evenings reading and re-reading recipes from her Hungry Girl cookbooks. In her 8th grade year, however, Reanna was nicknamed CupcakeGirl due to her love of cupcakes by one of her dear friends. Since then, her nickname stuck..and became more than just a silly title.
Reanna, now a junior in high school, cooks and bakes on (an almost) daily basis. In addition to her obsession with those petit gâteaus, she enjoys baking a variety of pastries, such as cookies, cakes, muffins, breads, and much, much more. In addition to pastry, Reanna also enjoys whipping up delicious meals in her mother's kitchen, some of her favorites being whole wheat spaghetti, lemon-butter chicken, teriyaki salmon, and sweet potato fries.
When Reanna isn't baking, cooking, or writing on her blog, she enjoys a variety of activities, such as drawing, painting, reading cooking magazines, taking pictures, running, and learning Psychology and French. She's loud, bubbly, a little (or a lot) on the dorky side, sweet, and enjoys using slang typically only the elderly tend to use. She loves spending time with her family and friends, feeding them her plethora of baked goods while simultaneously expanding their waste lines. When she's not doing that, you'll probably find her reading other food blogs, watching one of her favorite movies or shows (Cupcake Wars, Julie and Julia, and Hercules of course), or being a complete dork around her strange but lovable friends. ♥
